Self Sacrifice

It took years to appreciate me

I choose everyday to find kindness for myself

Why did I hold self sacrifice so highly

Like it was so honorable

I can be a giver and still maintain my own life

Self preservation isn't a bad thing

I will do my best to balance a life of both
